Perhaps the well known event jobs are those which centre around the actual logistics of planning an event. Wedding planners and party planners would fall under this category. These are the people who book the venues, employ the caterers and arrange the entertainment but they are not the only people in the events industry.

AV technicians are a very important part of any live event. They are required to set up sound systems and other equipment which will be needed on the night, without them, an event would not be able to function correctly.

When an event is being run, it will need to sell things such as sponsorship to help pay for the event or if it is a food exhibition, for example, space at the event will need to be sold.
